We have an immediate need for a RN Case Coordinator whos serves in a nursing case management capacity as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team supporting soldier readiness processing and certification. The

RN Case Coordinator's essential job responsibilities include:
•Coordinates the continuity of care for soldiers' deployment and redeployment processes including the periodic health assessment, soldier readiness processing and certification.
•Provide support services to soldiers requiring advanced medical screening as determined by the State Review Decision Panel.
•Reviews medical history and coordinates consultations and follow-ups, as required.
•Coordinates with other medical offices.
•Enters all documentation in soldier's medical records.

NOTE: Work may be performed in an area that can be uncomfortable due to drafts, noise and temperature variation. Work may also involve exposure to hazardous materials and/or with equipment where carelessness could result in an injury and/or death.

The Family Advocacy Nurse (FAN) will be a part of a multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program Team that includes License Clinical Social Workers, Psychologist and Administrative Support personnel. The team is responsible for providing comprehensive home based prevention services to military families to prevent child and spouse maltreatment.

Requirements:
· The role of the FAN is to provide the home-base nursing services that include education support and anticipatory guidance in such areas as growth and development across the life span, nutrition, parenting, attachment/bonding, individual and family health related issues, family violence dynamics, problem solving, family communication skills and bereavement.
· The FAN develops a family service plan that includes a nursing diagnosis that incorporates secondary prevention services for new parent support families and maltreatment cases when applicable. Education Support and guidance specific to preventing child and spouse abuse may focus on the following.
· Growth and development (role transition attachment, bonding newborn, behavior, developmentally appropriate play).
· Nutrition (breast feeding, failure to thrive, prenatal nutrition).
· Parenting (shaken baby syndrome prevention, age appropriate discipline, problem solving skills, couple communication around parenting, environmental safety).
· Health related issues (childbirth preparation, dangers of smoking, alcohol abuse infant child safety).
· Engaging Father’s involvement in parenting a new child.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master Degree in Nursing preferred.
· Must be a U.S. licensed Registered Nurse in good standings with the State Board of Nursing.
· A minimum of two years recent experience (within the last four years) in nursing as a Community Health Nurse (CHN) and/or two years Maternal Child Health nursing experience; to include home visiting experience.
· Must have current BLS.

PICU Requirements:

1.2.1.2. RNs shall have a minimum of one (1) year or the equivalent of one year experience within the last three years in the PICU clinical area. Such experience shall have been in an acute care facility with a validated Level 1 or Level 2 PICU. Work in a convalescent care type facility shall not be considered acceptable qualifying experience.

Labor and Delivery Requirements;

1. RNs must maintain a current, active, valid and unrestricted license from
any US state, District of Columbia; or U.S territory or jurisdiction to
provide health care within the scope of their practice.
2. Current certifications-BLS, AWHONN preferred, NRP
3 years of the Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Program.
4. US citizenship.
5. RNs shall have worked full time on a L&D unit within the past year.
Such experience shall have been in an acute care facility with at least 100 deliveries per month.

The University of Nevada, School of Medicine, Internal Medicine Department, in Reno, Nevada is seeking candidates for two full-time Advanced Nurse Practitioner positions. These are administrative faculty positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for the implementation and continuation of a care plan determined by the treating physician for patients receiving treatment for chronic subspecialty/medical conditions. Additionally, these positions provide access to urgent patient care needs and expands access to relevant subspecialties (Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Internal Medicine) and medical care. Major responsibilities include patient care; education and counseling; program development; and clinical trials assistance. These individuals report to the relevant physicians and his/her collaborating physician(s).
 
Requirements: Advanced Practitioner of Nursing Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four years' experience in primary care; additional experience working in subspecialty is desirable. Licensed in the State of Nevada as an Advanced Practitioner of Nursing or ability to be licensed as Advanced Practitioner of Nursing in the State of Nevada prior to employment start date. Candidates must be eligible for an unrestricted Nevada Nursing license, malpractice insurance, and must be able to be successfully credentialed by Northern Nevada teaching hospitals. Preferred qualifications: Advanced training in diabetes, Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) certification or a strong desire to be part of the development of a diabetes center would be considered advantageous. Preferred licenses or certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support.
